With Goa Under Lockdown, TV Shows Move To Different Locations For Shoot
© Provided by The Indian ExpressWhen the Maharashtra government announced new restrictions under its campaign ‘Break the chain’ in April, it also brought to halt the shoot of films, TV shows, web series and even ads. In a bid to continue the programming, most television shows took the cast and crew to locations with fewer Covid-19 cases. Teams have been shooting indoors amid a strict bio bubble in Hyderabad, Goa, Delhi, Rajkot and Daman. However, following the lockdown in Goa, a few television shows were left in a fix.
After almost three days of the team sitting idle in their hotel rooms, channels and the makers have decided to move their shows to other locations. While the shoot of Star Plus’ Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyar Meiin and Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani will move to Hyderabad, the team of Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha has decided to move to Silvassa.
A source told indianexpress.Com that the team of Zee TV’s Kurbaan Hua and Tujhse Hai Raabta will also move to Silvassa for the shoot. Other TV shows like Balaji Telefilms’ Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya, Molkki and Yeh Hai Chahatein haven’t yet finalised a new location. They also added that given the risk factor involved in travelling, the team has decided to stay put in Goa till the time a new location is not finalised.

“The shoot in Goa was happening indoors, and it was quite a smooth run. However, once the lockdown was announced, the authorities decided to call off filming. Wanting to follow protocols, the team did a quick recce of new locations and everyone was in the hotel premise only. Now, with all arrangements been done, the team has started to move out,” added the source.
On the other hand, Dance Deewane 3, which was filming in Bengaluru, has shifted base to Umergaon. Given the lockdown in the state, the team did not want to risk it and moved back closer to Mumbai. Also, Madhuri Dixit, who had excused herself from flying to Karnataka, is back on the set. The Bollywood star shot on Monday along with judges Dharmesh Yelande and Tushar Kalia. With Raghav Juyal still in quarantine, Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa will continue as hosts.
After Shoot Being Stalled In Mumbai, Cast And Crew Of Kundali Bhagya Shift Their Location To Goa
The shoot location of one of the top shows, Kundali Bhagya has shifted to Goa. The cast members, Shraddha Arya, Sanjay Gagnani, Ruhi Chaturvedi, Abhishek Kapur, and Swati Kapoor were spotted taking off to Goa at the airport.Dheeraj Dhoopar, Manit Joura, Anjum Fakih are missing from the pictures whereas the rest of them posed gleefully for the shutterbugs. Not just Kundali Bhagya, but Imlie and Mehndi Hai Rachne Vali is also shifting to Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Sources close to the shows informed ETimes TV that Gashmeer Mahajani and Sumbul Touqeer and Mayuri Deshmukh starrer Imlie produced by Four Lion's Production and Shivangi Khedkar and Sai Ketan Rao's Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali produced by SOL Productions and Sandiip Films have decided to shift their shooting location to Hyderabad's Ramoji Rao Studio. In 2020 during the lockdown, when the shoot of films, TV shows and ads were stalled for 4 months, the entertainment industry had to incur heavy losses. This time, the production houses aren't ready to compromise and have decided to move out of Maharashtra to shoot their daily soaps for the next 15 days. JD Majethia, producer and Chairman of Indian Films and Television Producers Council (IFTPC) had also spoken to ETimes TV, and said that they are abiding by the Chief Minister's decision of shutting down the shoots completely. "As of now we are going to abide by the restriction, but very soon we will approach them again. We are with him on this and we are going to go through the order fully once. The last time when he had announced the lockdown, we had a word with him and he understood our position. We consider ourselves as frontline workers as we provide entertainment to people who are sitting at home. We make people happy who are dealing with various issues, depression, frustration and bring a smile on their face. We also have daily workers who earn on a per day basis so like how the CM has allowed construction workers, we want him to give us a little exception. As of now we are standing with him and after a day or two we will approach him and see what the conclusion will be. We will try to chalk out a plan how we can follow the guidelines with all security and if we can still shoot, we will make a bio bubble and then approach him."
